The Art Ruralz Trail is an outdoor gallery that invites you to breathe in the fresh air while discovering hidden masterpieces along the scenic landscape in the town of Erin. It connects public art landmarks, community art pieces, and "LOOK Over Here" selfie stations into one joyful journey through our countryside.
We build this trail because we believe art belongs everywhere — not just on gallery walls, but woven into the places we live, walk, and gather. Each stop tells a story about our landscape, our history, and the people who call this town home.

Community Art
On the north wall of the Hillsburgh Community Centre, you'll find a mural eleven months in the making — built by community members, service groups, and volunteers. Designed and crafted by Jennifer McKinnon of Turn of Fate Studio, its interlocking gears show how every individual helps drive the well-being of our whole community. Come see how we're better when we work together.
Perfect Balance

Between the pond and the Hillsburgh Public Library stands Perfect Balance / When All Species Endure, sculpted by local artisan Jennifer McKinnon of Turn of Fate Studio. Shaped like an open book, it celebrates the local flora and fauna now at risk in our area. Stop by, take it in, and remember — it's only Perfect Balance when all species endure.
Caboose Hop

At the Elora-Cataract Trailhead, the Station Stop Caboose Hop is taking shape now — a public art landmark currently being built by our community. Designed by local artist Jefferson Campbell-Cooper, it celebrates Hillsburgh's proud railway heritage and our shared story. Help us reach our $5,800 goal, and join us for the reveal on September 19, 2026.

The Caboose Hop
Rising from the ground like a caboose emerging from history, the Station Stop Caboose Hop celebrates Hillsburgh's railway heritage at the Elora-Cataract Trailhead. Designed by local artist Jefferson Campbell-Cooper and built with the community, it's a place to pause, reflect, and connect — and a proud anchor of the Art Ruralz Trail.
